Horoscope for the week of 1.15 - 1.21 || cap new moon + Aquarius season

Hi all! This is an interesting time with all of the Capricorn energy- lots of productivity and practicality, building with what we have. Not to mention that there aren't any planets in retrograde. This is a rather action-oriented time, one where we are thinking, even fantasizing or daydreaming, about the future and where we are headed. This is a time to take account of what is on the horizon and skills that are of interest that we can use to build ourselves up with going forward.

On Monday, Jupiter in Scorpio makes a sextile to Pluto in Capricorn. This invokes an image of someone struggling to get a door open in 2017 when Jupiter in Libra was squaring Pluto in Capricorn, wondering when the struggle will be over and they'll be able to get inside to get whatever they need. This aspect in 2018 looks like the door opening rather effortlessly all of a sudden. Don't be surprised or shocked and upon reflection, you are deserving and worthy of whatever is inside of the door. Just walk through it with your head held high. The Sun in Capricorn will make a sextile aspect to wounded healer Chiron in Pisces, which gives a need to be humble and gracious when you finally receive whatever it is that you've been looking for.

On Tuesday there is a new moon in Capricorn. This is a great time for releasing everything that has happened up to this point, all of the emotional and energetic stuff we have unpacked so far during this Jupiter in Scorpio transit, all of our perceived limitations. After this, think about the future. Visualize your perfect and most ideal future as if it is already occurring. Capricorn is always looking forward, towards the future and towards the unknown. Open yourself up to receiving all future blessings, material and emotional. Capricorn is a plan-oriented sign, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to iron out some potentials as plans for the future. Throughout Aquarius and Pisces season, make this visualization and even daydreaming a practice, thinking about exactly what you want and then when Aries season comes around, hit the ground running. Capricorn is oriented towards depression, so if you feel this way do something to uplift your mood. It's also a time to catch up on rest as the new moon encourages us to go inward and reflect.

On Wednesday, the moon comes into Aquarius where we begin to have an objective, yet humorous mindset of our circumstances. This is a great place to analyze and continue to think about the future, only on Wednesday we gain a slightly different perspective after the fog of the new moon lifts. If you experience any deja-vu, it's because the moon will come over the South Node, indicating a potential flashback into another life.

On Thursday, Venus enters Aquarius, introducing an unconventionality into our relationships. When Venus is in signs like Aquarius and Sagittarius, it can make us crave more for freedom and room to breathe and expand in our relationships. The following is a quote from Khalil Gabran brought into my awareness by a very wise lady,

“Let there be spaces in your togetherness, And let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup. Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf. Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone, Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music. Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping. For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts. And stand together, yet not too near together: For the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.”

This is what Venus in Aquarius is about. The best partner for us during this time is a friend. Also on Thursday, Mars in Scorpio will be making a positive aspect to Chiron in Pisces. This transit will help us to understand some of our wounds in a way that will help us act in the present moment.

Friday begins Aquarius season, which is a great time to get out your vision board-making supplies and think about what you want out of life- not just for yourself, but for the world. Aquarius season is ideally where we shift our vision outside of ourselves and any self-indulgence during this season will fall by the wayside as one shifts their vision towards the injustices that plague humanity. This is a time for thinking and creating as well as a time for community and making friends. Also on Friday, Mercury will be making a sextile aspect towards Neptune in Pisces, opening up the door to insights, visions and inciting the need for energetic boundaries that comes along with that, especially with the moon moving into Pisces. This is a great day for tuning into the imagination and expanding consciousness.
