Horoscope for the week of 6.24 - 6.30 || being mindful of projection in relationships & your ego

Greetings loved ones! I hope you all have recovered from last week - the big, highly energetic full moon in Sagittarius on Monday of last week opened up some very positive energy which was definitely well-needed to get us through the week with some oppositions from Mercury, Mars & the North Node in Cancer and the South Node, Pluto & Saturn in Capricorn. Collectively this has been asking that we dig deep into our story from our family of origin so that we can better go forward, especially as this week Mercury retrograde is in its shadow period preparing to appear to be slowing down. Reflection and pausing is the name of the game, which continues into the week ahead.

The summer solstice and the start of Cancer season was also last week! The mark of summer is the height of the activity of the year and this Cancer season will be incredibly busy as we move through eclipse season which I'll be writing about even more as it draws closer. It's important to reflect right now on what we most want to be doing and who we most want to be around at this time because over the summer, it'll be about setting boundaries and also learning to let people into your heart - the right people. Moving away from the work-to-live motto of Capricorn is highly beneficial for us at this time.

This week, the astrology is *fairly uneventful* with only a few tense aspects to reckon with and some changes in moon sign.

On Monday, Venus in Gemini makes a square aspect to Neptune in Pisces. This could present an inability to see a certain situation for what it is. Whenever Venus reaches out to Neptune, this brings our rose-colored glasses and can make relationship issues nebulous. This is also an aspect that indicates a need to clearly communicate expectations as if you were explaining them to a child because there is a lot of potential for miscommunication, especially in romantic relationships.

Tuesday, the moon moves into the spontaneous and firey sign of Aries. This is a moon sign that loves to initiate things and is easily irritable - the potential is there for us whenever the moon is in Aries, especially if it is our natural tendency, to be a little bit more agitated. This is the first quarter square of the moon - the waning quarter square can leave us tired and frustrated, perhaps with certain things we initiate not getting off of the ground. The lesson with this quarter-square is patience and acceptance, taking rest when you need to take rest so that you don't burn out.

On Thursday, the Sun in Cancer squares Chiron in Aries. Squares to Chiron can at times bring up wounds that we thought we fully healed- like when the scab falls off of a wound and it's a little bit more tender without the protection of the scab. It's still essential for the healing process for the scab to fall off at the right time and on Thursday, it's important to trust the process. This Chiron square relates to our ego - specifically the ego we developed in the midst of the potential chaos of our family of origin. Something could come up out in the world that pokes and prods a little bit at us- could make us feel easily defensive- but could be something to really honestly take a look at. It's not beneficial to move through this day pointing the finger at the world around you but really to spend in honest and earnest contemplation.

Also on Thursday, the moon moves into the sign of Taurus which does allow the energy to slow down just a little bit and posits a nice sextile aspect to the Sun, introducing a little ease to the angst we may be feeling prior this week. This is a good time to enjoy the sensual things that life has to offer - good food, touch, the feeling of the earth underneath your feet, the smell of flowers - this is a very grounding influence which is welcome after some of the stuff that may come up for us with the Chiron-Sun square.

Sunday, the moon moves into the sign of Gemini, which sometimes can increase anxiety in those that are naturally predisposed to that. The need to communicate becomes imperative and as Gemini moves over Venus toward the end of the day, it bodes well for communication and expressing your truth. Writing can pour out of those who enjoy writing of all kinds and it's easier to become scattered under the light of this moon sign.
