Happy new year starseeds! My own personal new year begins at the start of Aries season, the beginning of the zodiacal calendar, which comes in the spring. The reason for this is it makes more sense for me to plant the seeds that I want to grow in the spring. The time before and after the winter solstice is perceived by me to be the "dark time" or the time where it serves best to metaphorically embody death, not starting any new projects or initiating anything new but rather allowing plenty of space and time to rest and digest, allowing things that don't serve to fall away. However, the Gregorian calendar's new year is January 1st and so it is- every day is a day to set new intentions and new resolutions for the best possible future. This new year, the first week in 2018, is going to start of with quite a big bang of new ideas and new growth. The best way to handle this is to write all of the new ideas down and to strategize, especially through the rest of Capricorn season, about how exactly to make these things happen. Then in Aquarius season and Pisces season, begin to visualize these new changes happening with ease and then when Aries season comes in it's good to hit the ground running.
Saturn moves from the 1st degree to the 2nd degree of Capricorn this week. The following degree interpretation is from the best astrology book ever written, "Inside Degrees" by Ellias Lonsdale:
