Horoscope for the week of 7.24 - 7.30 || the real vs. the ideal

Good evening, wonders of the universe! I hope you are doing really well on this glorious new moon in the self-proclaimed best sign (it's Leo season!) I am a Leo and so I'm really excited for my solar return. I'm going up to Asheville with a few friends and will still try to get the blog up and running for my horoscope regardless. I love astrology and I love to share what is happening out there and how it relates to us down here, so if I can do that for another year, it would be a very happy birthday indeed. I've been very blessed with meeting the right clients at the right times and I hope that continues on for another revolution around the sun! Blessings.

Before the new moon on Sunday (today) things were in a chaotic place personally and existentially. We have Saturn, Neptune, Pluto and Chiron in retrograde right now, asking us to have utmost integrity and discernment. Some folks may be feeling the dread of the collective as if it were a personal attack. Not only that, but the end of Cancer season this year was just brutal for most of the people I know personally. Interpersonal conflict was on the menu- the last few degrees of Cancer are very moody and emotional, prone to holding onto attachments and passive aggression instead of assertive expression. However, I will say that moving forward, Mars came into Leo last week, the Sun is now in it's happy place in the sign of Leo, the moon is still reeling from its new moon phase in Leo, the North Node is in Leo and Mercury has been in Leo. This is a huge time for letting some of that emotional weight out by way of expression and connecting with the divine joy inside your heart. Leo in its purest expression is the outstretched arm of the divine child archetype with endless fascination and a willingness to share and remain open. The Leo lesson is about the heart and honoring the heart-stuff of you and others. Things are getting a little bit easier and a little lighter now.

It's good that things are light inside of us because there are a couple of things that are unavoidable this week. If there is something, especially something mundane, that you are running from this week, it will become a problem quicker than normal. The planetary energy of the week is suggesting a bit of a reality check to those that need it.

First, Saturn changes his degree position on Monday. The following is an excerpt from the book by Ellias Lonsdale regarding the 21st degree of Sagittarius:

SAGITTARIUS 21 Toads singing at night. X marks the spot. Plugged in to universal currents of energy and awareness. You listen and look toward the collective, universal voice and resonance, pervasively sensing how the inner worlds synchronize with the outer worlds. A magical, shamanic realm in all respects, working from the sacred circle and the cone of light. Alchemical transmutation from state to state and world to world. In touch with the borderline, hugging the edges. You feel especially keen to taste and feel what needs to happen, what wants to arise, tapping the pulse of the times and speaking for all of those who stay tuned in for further developments.

- This is a huge breakthrough. Whenever a planet moves backwards in the degrees it shows us that we've been here before. Sometimes a planet will move back in a sign only to show us that we have already learned that lesson before, so it can look like a refresher course of that lesson. The words that leap off of the page in that interpretation of this degree for me are "alchemical transmutation" and "the inner worlds synchronizing with the outer worlds" and that we are co-creating this reality we live in.

The transition from Monday to Tuesday is very interesting. Venus in Gemini will be opposing Saturn in Sagittarius. This is a classic case of the real versus the ideal and can show up as a staunch or brutal look into the reality of what our relationships hold for us. If you've ever read a single blog post of mine, you'll notice that this is the time to get down into your heart. Sometimes, you have to see things as they are to fully love them. Sometimes, you have to clear out some baggage to fully appreciate love. The two things I would call to heart with this is curiosity, objectivity and also your intuition. Pay attention to your relationships on Monday and take stock of how things make you feel.

Mercury, our logical mind, is moving through the last few degrees of Leo and is transitioning into Virgo on Tuesday, but before that, it makes a couple of interesting aspects. It will make a positive aspect to Uranus which could come in as a really good idea or an insight into something. A realization is lurking on Monday. There is also going to be a quincunx aspect between Mercury in Leo and Chiron in Pisces. A quincunx aspect is a 150 degree aspect that prevents the two planets from seeing each other from where they are in the sky. It is important to shout out your truth with Mercury here, but be conscious of those around you and the way they could be affected by it.

On Tuesday, Mercury and the moon will both be coming into Virgo. Virgo season is really good for harvesting and working, getting projects done and sewing the seeds of effort. I think on Monday the realizations and insight gained from the Mercury-Uranus trine could be oriented towards the seeds we are meant to plant during Virgo season. Mercury and the moon coming together make us a little bit anxious, especially in Virgo, so take the time to watch your thoughts and words because all of that reverberates out. When Mercury comes into Virgo, I find that it's a great time to organize your life and practically and effectively take control of your life in a big way.

On Wednesday, loving Venus gets a karmic-destiny dose from the North Node in Leo. This could be a day where synchronicities and signs add up to certain conclusions and it's okay to trust that. Also, notice the people that come around you just naturally without having to text or make plans- chances are you'll run into exactly who you need to run into.

Wednesday the Sun will be on the very same degree as Mars in Leo! This is a day of explosive energetic capacity, this could cause us to be edgy, reactive as well as more creative and sexual. Be careful that this heat doesn't burn you! Think before you speak and honor the goodness in people to avoid complications.

On Thursday, the Moon comes into Libra and will pass over Jupiter. This is a big day for connection and social support as the moon in Libra will positively aspect Venus in Gemini, the Sun and Mars in Leo as well as Saturn in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries. That's a whole lot of air and fire and with the energy of Libra fused with the energy of Jupiter, interpersonal relating is on the menu for the fullest expression of this transit.

Sunday is my birthday! There are some tricky transits but I'm really not worried about them at all because with a knowledge of astrology and the moving planets throughout our celestial bodies, we can know how to rise above certain influences. Venus in Gemini is making a square aspect to Chiron in Pisces so there's potential that what has happened to wound us in a deep way is brought up in a very surface situation or capacity. I think with this aspect, there's some disregarding of deeper, more surface emotions, but they come in for a reason so honor them and listen to them. The moon comes into Scorpio on Sunday, so some deeper emotions are to be expected on top of some already deep emotions. Venus in Gemini will be reaching out to Uranus in Aries for a chance to show your true self in your relationships, maybe take up some personal freedom and space just for you.

Enjoy your week! M
