Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. I've been very vocal about the retrograde periods in my prior blog posts because we are really in the thick of it right now. For an update, Venus is still in shadow. She comes further away from Chiron this week and moves into Aries after regressing back to the Pisces narrative of self-sacrifice and universal love, so we are back to focusing on getting our base needs met in love and seeking out lots of personal freedom. When Venus moves into Aries she gets rather hasty, so let's all make a commitment to really key into the Taurean energy with the new moon this week by purposefully, deliberately and artfully engaging with the world around us.
Jupiter has been retrograde in Libra, calling relationships to the main stage. Opposing Uranus in Aries it is really all about evaluating who in our lives are here for us as we are. These planets are making a square aspect (harsh, confusing, contentious) to Pluto which is now retrograde in Capricorn. Honestly, this fits a collective dynamic where we are all quite isolated due to being cued into the matrix of life, the internet and having to keep up in a country where we all have to work so hard and be so much all the time just to stay afloat. It seems like the way this is playing out is that we are realizing that we are isolated and have sought out human connection and compassion with the arrival of Jupiter in Libra. We should be able to share our deepest vulnerabilities and our secrets and our worries and fears under confidentiality without being judged and right now is a time where we're evaluating who is really right for that.
Saturn is still retrograde in Sagittarius, making awkward looks at Chiron, the wounded healer dwarf planet. Last week, Saturn made a tough aspect towards Venus in Pisces which was closeby to Chiron in Pisces. There was a lot of very anxious, self-doubting and testy energy last week and this square between Chiron and Saturn later this week will be reminiscent of that. Sometimes, wounds have to be picked off so that you can look at it again and then eventually over the course of time, they will heal. Healing requires a vessel - a practice or a creative outlet - so later this week it will be good to have a safety net.
Mercury has been moving retrograde in Taurus and now is in Aries. when Mercury moves retrograde in Aries, there should optimally be more awareness about just speaking without thinking. The best way to handle certain transits is to try to cultivate the traits of the opposite sign, which in this case is Libra. In fact, Jupiter is there right now, really lighting up the need for diplomacy and thought behind speech and the need to be willing to collaborate and work on things and come to agreements. This week is a firestorm of intense Aries energy so it's going to be really good to be able to skip a beat, because this is a week that will move really fast and there may be a lot of change, but your decisions aren't reversible so key into the Libra's indecisive pondering about decisions at least until you're 100% sure. Mercury goes direct on May 3rd!
On Monday, Mercury retrograde in Aries will be making a positive aspect to Saturn retrograde in Sagittarius. The moon will be in Aries. This is a truly great day to glean insight into something you may not have thought of before - a unique idea or a practical direction not yet understood or explored. This could apply to career, or it could apply to the WAY you go about doing things. I had a professor in college who told me once as I was struggling in her class to really evaluate the way I study. It could be the way that you communicate or express your needs. It's a good day to think about the functionality of the way we go about living our lives.
On Wednesday there will be a new moon in Taurus. The moon loves to be in Taurus because Taurus is calm, stable, durable and loves cozy comfies. It's a great day to enjoy very sensually. Really taste what you are eating, really feel what you are feeling and hear what you are hearing as a toast to all of the people we love who have prominent Taurus in their birth chart.
Friday is peak craziness for the week quite frankly. The moon will come into Gemini, causing a bit more of a restless stir than is comfortable for most people. We will be productive, but on the inside there may be a little bit of anxiety so key into your body. This moon in Gemini will square the North Node in Virgo which really makes us want to do things anterior to the point. We may get distracted talking to strangers or going down a rabbithole on Wikipedia. The moon then will come on top of Mars in Gemini for a side of irritability. Venus moves into Aries, coming further out of shadow and really casting a light on what it is that WE want. Especially because Mercury retrograde will return right on top of Uranus in Aries which could serve as a portal into what your future could look like. This is great for mental energy like writing and trying to figure out what you want to create for yourself when Mercury moves back into Taurus and catches up to the Sun, but not a great time to commit to plans even in the short-term. Just ride the wave of your own brilliance because the energy will mellow significantly as the week closes out.
On Saturday, Venus is going to be at 0 degrees Aries not able to see the North Node in Virgo at 0 degrees by making a quincunx aspect. What is happening here is that there may be some ties that need to be severed in relationships but we can't even see it yet through the fog of Venus' shadow. One of my favorite astrological texts is called Inside Degrees by Elias Lonsdale, where 0 degrees of Aries is read as 30 degrees of Pisces and 0 degrees of Virgo is read as 30 degrees of Leo.

The Earth is pregnant with alternate futures. Each of her progeny, each possible future could become the one chosen. The criteria center around whichever future stream is most genuinely surrendered to the highest will. It is the same microcosmically as macrocosmically. Many souls are pregnant with alternate futures. The one that prevails will likely be the one most surrendered to the absolute, the most rightful. You feel burstingly full of visions, possibilities, worlds, and streams. And you know that so very much shall pass away, but what is essential will keep on coming. It is very hard to tell who is who and what is what, which way to lean or how to conceive the way it shall go. But if you stay rooted in your inward awareness and enduring core sensibility, you will be tapped as a vessel for what is to be, and that is all you need to know."

Doing inner work in an outer world. Precipitating limitless spirit into dense matter. Working within higher laws. Tapping the sourcespring of existence. You are powerfully motivated to extend the range of the inner brightness into absolutely every facet of existence. So intensively purposive that you push yourself over every edge to achieve astounding things. You specialize in turnarounds, great shifts--personally and collectively. A vision burns through. You know that if you extend yourself just another notch further, the victory will be won. A knack for staying in there till something gives. A greater center of selfhood endows you with a central life radiance of unsurpassed glory. However, you tuck infinities away and appear as whatever is called for. And if your essence-spark shines through, it is incidental to the great design of bringing heaven to earth and being the one who makes that possible, selflessly and joyously and serenely."
The message with me sharing these degrees is the concept of possibility. Stay open.
On Sunday, the inevitable comedown from an epic Friday comes with Saturn in Sagittarius making that square to Chiron in Pisces. The moon will also move into Cancer, highlighting a need to be rather internal and to attach to the things that are felt. This is a day where the cozy comfies and sensory soothers can be really helpful as we breathe into whatever pain the current climate is causing us.
Love, light and best wishes for a great week,
