On Tuesday, January 10th, the Sun in Capricorn is making a harsh aspect to Uranus in Aries. We are all bursting at the seams with new inspirations and a new vision for ourselves going forward, and have been for a long time due to Uranus, planet of powerful collective change and growth, moving through the sign of Aries, the individual. We are evaluating how to use our individual talents and gifts to show up in our lives and create change on a personal and global scale. The Sun in Capricorn serves to dampen this just slightly by showing us what may be restricting this going forward, from the influences of others to sightings of red tape in society. One way to navigate this influence is by making a note without judgment of both - the way we wish to show up in the world and the way certain structures we have set up might be restricting us. On Wednesday, January 11th, Pluto in Capricorn is making a soft and complimentary aspect to Mars in Pisces. This aspect is gifting us gentle insights into our soul's deepest yearnings about what needs to die off in order for our higher Self to come through in the expression of our actions in our daily life. Capricorn is all about achieving while Pisces can get a little bit lazy in favor of more imaginative and spiritual pursuits. It's good to look at the way in which we spend our down-time and whether or not they're supporting where we want to go in life at this time.
Also on Wednesday, the Sun in Capricorn is making a soft and supportive aspect to Chiron, the wounded healer asteroid, in Pisces. Chiron symbolizes our deeper wounds and the Sun represents our ego expression. This aspect is encouraging us to seek to understand the internal motivations of those who have hurt us in the past, knowing that everyone has a reason for everything they do even if it's not logical. Then, we are encouraged by this planetary alignment to work on sending those people forgiveness and compassion energetically. This is radical love.
Wednesday is a busy day! We have the Sun in Capricorn making a harsh aspect to Jupiter in Libra. This is simply assessing how much our relationships are assisting us in where we want to go. Some people have relationships that really hold them back and other people find themselves in relationships that spring them forward. Pay attention to the way the close relationships in your life make you feel. The optimal feeling is limitlessness.
On Thursday, there's an auspicious full moon in Cancer. This is a great time to spend some time reflecting about your work-home life balance. Capricorn is archetypally the workaholic in the zodiac and Cancer is the moon momma who would give up anything for her family. What do you want from your career? If you could choose, would you be working for yourself or someone else? Would you be working with people or by yourself? How many hours is too many hours of work in a week? What can you do to simplify and streamline your efforts that won't chip away at your income? Are there things you can do to make your home even more of a respite for you away from the world out there? Adding live plants, feng shui and cooking in the home can be incredibly therapeutic. This is a good time to make "absolute yes" and "absolute no" lists to take with you into the rest of 2017.
Also on Thursday, Mercury re-enters Capricorn after being retrograde in Sagittarius. We've found what brings us joy with Mercury moving into Sagittarius and now it's time to apply it going forward. How can we bring this joy into our every day life? How can we use our beliefs to fuel our actions?
Thursday, Venus in Pisces is making a conjunction to Neptune in Pisces, which basically means that they'll be on top of each other. This is not a good day to make commitments to new relationships or to leave current ones and here's why: Pisces is ruled by Neptune. Venus is here, Neptune is here and they're both in Pisces. This is like a quadruple dose of Neptune. Neptune pulls the wool over our eyes and can bring in romantic delusions of grandeur. This is a day where imagining where your relationship can be is going to really get away from you. Instead of making firm commitments today, it's a great day to meditate on the love and relationships you want in your life and to write that down. This is what I want, this is what I don't want. This is what I will tolerate, this is what I won't tolerate. That way, when Venus moves off of Neptune in Pisces and further away from the South Node (karmic connections) you can come back to the commitment with a solidified perspective. This is a great week to forgive and settle past debts because of the universal love Pisces is here to teach us.
